I agree with the story as a whole, the one minor thing that gets to me, is the cellphone picture in the bathroom which is an always rule in whatever gym you go to, you don't take photos of any one in the locker room. She could have gotten his/her name. That's all I'm saying. I do agree and support all women who need safe spaces and places out in public, then again we were women. We can and have heard each other's phone calls in the bathroom. By the way can you count how many times you have heard another girl/woman talk on her phone in the bathroom.

I'd love to see and listen to the long form version of this story. Of course, as a man, I can't totally understand everything the women (including Brett) are communicating in this short story. Having said that, I can reasonably comprehend something of their intentions. That said, as a man, I usually find other men boring, easily read, and always, one dimensional. I like sundresses because in my soul i am always wishing i were frolicking in a field.

I grew up being a massive tomboy. Never felt comfortable in my own skin (from trauma as a child/then adult) but when I finally hit my 30's I was all about the girly girl look. It just happened. But then..... I hit 50, menopause, weight gain and I started to feel like I needed to disappear and began to wear oversized clothing. That lasted about 5 years and I have rediscovered that confident-in-my-skin girly girl look again. Sadly I did chop off my hair so that has to grow out 🤦🏻‍♀️but anyhow..... I'm on a good path😊❤
